What is it?

PhotoSpring is a single device that functions as both a digital photo frame and a photo album. In it’s stand, it’s a photo frame that will display different photos from the entire collection every day. Taken out of the stand, it’s a photo album that can be used to easily browse or find photos with it’s touchscreen interface. The device can display photos for over 4 hours on battery. It has a large sized screen that uses IPS display technology to display bright and beautiful images which can be viewed without distortion from any viewing angle.

PhotoSpring uses innovative software design to help users with the organization and display of the photos they take. It streamlines the process of transferring photos stored on smartphones and computers to PhotoSpring. And, it displays a unique set of photos on its screen in plain view everyday to be enjoyed throughout the day.

How do I use it?

Setup on PhotoSpring is very simple and takes less than five minutes to complete:
1) Connect PhotoSpring to power and wait for it to turn on.
2) Enter your Wi-Fi settings and PhotoSpring will download the most current version.
3) Enter a name for the device, your name, and an email address to send a PhotoSpring account invitation.
4) Receive the invitation email and respond to create a PhotoSpring account.
5) Use PhotoSpring companion apps for iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows to start uploading photos to PhotoSpring.

Using the PhotoSpring companion apps, photos are uploaded through Wi-Fi or cellular connections to the PhotoSpring cloud server which in turn sends them to the PhotoSpring device for storage directly on the device. Upon receipt, PhotoSpring will remove duplicates, analyze each photo for quality, select the best photos, and format each photo to best fit the screen.

To facilitate sharing photos, it’s just as easy to send invitations to family and friends so that they can send and share photos from their smartphones and computers. The photos sent from family and friends will automatically be displayed on the PhotoSpring screen without any effort required.
